Damage from Macular Degeneration may be hard to perceive it its early stages, and many patients initially do not have any symptoms. As the disease progresses patients start to notice distortion in their eyesight, and a slow loss of vision central vision. Over time if the condition continues to progress it will lead to blank spots in a patients central vision and eventually can lead to blindness if not detected and left untreated.
